The Piatt County Jail is located in the Public Safety Building, at 1216 Raymond Road in Monticello, Illinois 61856 . The Piatt County Jail/Public Safety Building was completed in 2004 and has the capability to house 76 inmates. The Piatt County Jail houses three basic types of persons: those who are awaiting bond or trial; those who have been sentenced to serve to time; and those being held for other agencies.
